How much musical knowledge do I need to take this course?

What is the course's schedule and time commitment?
The Producers Portal course is designed to immerse you in the learning process while fitting into any busy schedule with it's "do at your own pace" format, so there are no limiting start and end dates. The course consists of 124 lessons ranging from 3 minutes to 20 minutes per lesson. It is designed so each lesson builds off the previous, and is recommended to apply each step from the course to your own song from start to finish for the best integration of the lessons. Your purchase of the Producers Path gives you lifetime access, so any of the lessons or exercises can be rewatched as many times as you'd like.
Depending on your schedule and motivation, you can dedicate a suitable amount of time per week to the course. for example, you can set up an hour every day for the next month, or if your schedule is already very busy you can do just few sessions each week for 2-3 months.
Will I need Ableton or any special equipment to be able to complete the course?
The only thing required for this class is a computer and music production software. This program (known as your Digital Audio Workstation, or DAW) may be whichever you prefer it to be.
The Course is Taught on Ableton Live 11 Suite, but many of the concepts apply to any DAW (music production software). The course contains Ableton specific tips, but since the core offering of the course is a systematic workflow to start and finish music efficiently, the workflow can be applied to any DAW as long as you know the essentials to use your DAW of choice. If you are completely new to music Production, Its best to select Ableton Live 11 Suite as your DAW.
However, if you're just getting started or want to go deeper into your musical exploration, we recommend upgrading to Ableton. We believe that by doing so, you will be able to get the most out of your course while also feeling incredibly competent at using the industry-standard software.
